Sustainability Week 2013 kick-started Exhibitions SA’s drive to implement its environmental policy roll-out in the quest to become a greener company. The events and activities which took place during Sustainability Week were all subject to an event greening process which was driven by the event organisers.
The stand built for BASF by Exhibitions SA exploited the re-usability of the company’s PILA infrastructure and very few custom elements were manufactured for once-off use. The lighting comprised of only energy saving globes and the branded panels have since been put back into stock for re-use. The event took place from 24 to 28 September 2013 at Sandton Convention Centre.
BASF has been doing business in South Africa for over 45 years and consists of eight companies including a world-class automotive emission catalysts production site in Port Elizabeth. BASF also recently invested in a dispersions production plant in Durban in the third quarter of 2012.
