2013 – it’s been… Despite the disheartening trends flowing through most industries this year, Exhibitions SA took on substantial new business including multi-national clients through the introduction of first-time trade fair opportunities entering the South African market. Another high on Exhibition SA’s 2013 calendar was the earning of two ‘best stand’ awards from pharmaceutical clients Sandoz and BBraun. But most importantly, the company realised an increase in turnover, year on year, of 18%   – a fine conclusion to a challenging year.

While South Africa’s economic growth slows to a four-year low and one reflects on the concerning business trends of 2013 and forecasts of 2014, it takes an innovative and fresh approach to realise that the negative climate presents opportunities to rise above it. Reducing running costs, increasing value and consolidating efforts are the way forward.

Exhibitions SA has taken advantage of the year-end down period to combine their warehousing, production and administration premises into one location with one well-oiled team in an environment which lends itself to working smarter and leaner. With reduced overheads and a close hands-on operation, a strong foundation for 2014 has been established.

The improved unified circumstances have brought an invigorating energy into the Exhibitions SA team who are preparing to launch exciting new developments as 2014 dawns. Bring it on!
